Female Pelvic Medicine provides state-of-the-art care for all women utilizing the latest technologies available. Even the most complex cases are taken care of with a number of treatment options to best suit their needs. The referring physician may specifiy what route to take with each indivial patient, evaluation only, or evaluation and management. Evaluation: The patient receives a comprehensive evaluation of her condition. A report is sent to the referring physician with findings and recommendations regarding surgical and non-surgical therapeutic options. Evaluation and management: The patient receives the comprehensive evaluation. The report to the referring physician includes findings and describes the initial management plan. Our providers send the referring physician discharge summary sheets and follow-up letters from post-operative visits. For patients with a non-surgical management plan, our providers will regularly correspond regarding the treatment. In all cases, our providers inform the referred patient clearly of the consultative nature of the referral, and direct her back to the referring physician after the completion of our services. No patient will be referred to another physicians with out input from the originating physician.
